Over 100 new bricks for the Sally Jackson Lennox Patio were recently installed in preparation for Homecoming and Reunion Weekend.
You can leave a lasting legacy at Slippery Rock University by purchasing a brick for the patio. The patio, which is adjacent to the Russell Wright Alumni House and Conference Center, is a popular gathering spot for alumni and students alike.
Named brick(s) are typically personalized by engraving a name and graduation year; however, many also choose to add personalized messages, Greek letters or student organization names. Bricks can also be purchased in honor or in memory of a loved one.

SRU Career Education Reminds Alumni about WestPACS Job Fair
The twice-a-year WestPACS Job Fair (aka Western PA Collegiate Job and Internship Fair) will be on October 15th beginning at 10:00 AM at the Monroeville Convention Center, Monroeville PA. SRU and 43 other western Pennsylvania colleges and universities team up twice a year to produce the largest professional level job fair in the region. The fair, as usual, will welcome around 140 top employers from the region and beyond, including recognized local brands such as UPMC, EDMC, and Mylan to national names like PNC Bank, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Prudential and many others. Alumni from WestPACS member school are welcome to attend for free if they pre-register before October 13th. After October 13th anyone may attend as a walk-in for a $10 fee. This is a “business attire only” event (business-appropriate attire is screened at the door). Guests and children may not attend the fair; only job seekers with a degree (or undergrads seeking internships) and a well-crafted resume may attend (attendees are also screened at the door to assure that they have resumes with them). The registration link for fair registration is http://www.westpacs.org/register.aspx. The SRU Career Education and Development office offers free appointments for alumni seeking assistance with their resumes. Appointments are available by phone, Skype or in person (which is the preferred method). The career office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM. Their phone number is 724-738-2028.
